Beach Volleyball: Olopade Praises NVBF President, CGC Adeniyi Over Historic Olympic Ticket

The National Sports Commission (NSC) Director General Bukola Olopade has congratulated Nigeria Volleyball Federation (NVBF) President Engineer Musa Nimrod and Nigeria Customs Service Comptroller General Adewale Adeniyi on Nigeria’s historic qualification for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic beach volleyball event.

Nigeria won gold at the 2026 African Beach Volleyball Nations Championship in Alexandria, Egypt, on Saturday, August 22, by defeating Morocco 2-0 (21-17, 21-10) in the women’s final.

Olopade praised Nimrod’s strong leadership and persistence in growing volleyball in Nigeria.

The astute sports administrator also commended CGC Adeniyi for his unwavering commitment to the federation and the growth of the sport

His words: “Congratulations to the Nigeria Volleyball Federation. This is true Federation leadership in true collaboration with the National Sports Commission (NSC).
“I want to specially thank the Comptroller General of Nigeria Customs Service, CGC Adewale Adeniyi MFR for this success. We are grateful for your huge investment in volleyball.”
