New Plateau CP assures citizens of security, safety

The newly-appointed Plateau State Commissioner of Police, Bassey Ewah, has assured residents of their safety, pledging to consolidate existing peace.

Speaking on Tuesday during his maiden briefing at the command headquarters in Jos, Ewah stated that professionalism, discipline, and commitment would define his tenure.

“It will not be business as usual under my watch. We will work tirelessly to ensure the safety and security of all citizens and take Plateau State back to its original status as the Home of Peace and Tourism,” he said.

The new CP underscored the necessity of synergy between security agencies and the public in addressing security concerns.”

“We will work with the good people of Plateau State to identify and address security challenges, and we will not rest until we achieve our goals”, he said.

Ewah urged the command’s officers and men to remain dutiful, disciplined, and professional, emphasising the need for inter-service collaboration to strengthen the state’s security architecture.

“I also want to emphasise the importance of inter-service collaboration with other security agencies.

“We will sustain and strengthen these partnerships at all levels of the command to ensure improved security architecture for Plateau State.

“I am committed to serving the good people of Plateau with integrity, professionalism and dedication,” Ewah said.
