BREAKING: Prof. Badejo Olawunmi Named New LASU VC

Lagos State Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu has approved the appointment of Professor Badejo Ayodeji Olawumi (née Faji) as the new Vice-Chancellor of Lagos State University (LASU).
The Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Gbenga Omotoso, announced this in a statement released on Wednesday, September 9th.

Professor Badejo takes over from the outgoing Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Ibiyemi Ibilola Olatunji-Bello, who is bowing out after five years in office.
Olatunji-Bello, a professor of Physiology, previously served as acting Vice-Chancellor and Deputy Vice-Chancellor at the institution.
Professor Badejo will become the institution’s 10th substantive Vice-Chancellor.
She was born on August 4, 1962. She earned a PhD in Guidance and Counselling from the University of Lagos (UNILAG) and an M.Ed. (Guidance and Counselling) from UNILAG.
