Customs, FRSC collaborate in Oyo for efficient service delivery

As part of efforts to deepen inter-agency collaboration, the Oyo State Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), is partnering with the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), to achieve productive relationship and
efficient service delivery.

This was discussed when the Sector Commander, Corps Commander Kehinde Sunday Dahunsi, paid a courtesy visit to the Operational Headquarters of the Oyo/Osun Area Command of the Service.

In a statement by the Public Relations Officer of the command, Akintola Abiodun Abdulmalik, the Sector Commander was received by the Acting Customs Area Controller Deputy Comptroller Wale Moses Adewole and members of the Command’s management team. He expressed appreciation for the cordial reception, describing it as a clear demonstration of the enduring and productive relationship between the two agencies.

The FRSC chief commended the Nigeria Customs Service for its pivotal role in safeguarding the nation’s borders against the influx of prohibited items that could pose risks to public health and safety, while also facilitating legitimate trade. He assured the Command of the FRSC’s continued support through enhanced collaboration, improved operational synergy, and joint capacity-building initiatives aimed at boosting service delivery.

In his remarks, Adewole, expressed gratitude to the Sector Commander and his team for the visit. He acknowledged the critical role of the FRSC in ensuring road safety and protecting lives against road accidents across the nation. He further emphasized the importance of sustained cooperation between both agencies in achieving their shared mandate of national security and public safety.

The visit underscores the commitment of the Service and the FRSC to fostering stronger institutional partnerships in the interest of national development and efficient service delivery.
