Customs, Police Partner to Boost Kogi Security

The Customs Area Comptroller, Niger/Kogi Area Command, Muhammad Sani Umar, TODAY, paid a court   and   esy visit to the Commissioner of Police, Kogi State Command, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, at the Police Headquarters in Lokoja.

The visit, which was marked by warmth and mutual respect, underscored the strong and existing collaboration between the Nigeria Customs Service and the Nigeria Police Force in the state.

In a statement by the P.    ublic Relations Officer of the command, Abubakar Abdulkareem Zakariya, Comptroller Umar expressed deep appreciation for the warm reception accorded him and his entourage during the visit.

He noted that the visit was aimed at further strengthening the already cordial relationship between both agencies.

Umar emphasided the importance of synergy, friendliness, and robust inter-agency cooperation in tackling security challenges and enhancing national development.

The Comptroller also reiterated the commitment of the Service to sustaining effective collaboration with the Police and other security agencies in the state.

In his response, the Commissioner of Police, CP Naziru Bello Kankarofi, warmly welcomed the Comptroller and described the visit as timely and significant.

Kankarofi stated that all security agencies in Kogi State operate as one family, working collectively towards maintaining peace and security.

He commended the officers and men of the Nigeria Customs Service in Kogi State for their professionalism and robust cooperation with the Police. He appreciated the Comptroller for finding time to visit and offered prayers for the nation and.

The visit concluded on a note of renewed commitment by both agencies to deepen collaboration, enhance intelligence sharing, and promote a safer and more secure Kogi State.
