INEC begins uploading Osun Governorship election results to IREV

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has begun uploading results of the Osun State governorship election to the INEC Result View (IREV) portal.

A little over two hours after polls closed, the commission has successfully uploaded results from about 658 polling units (27.49 per cent of the total) to the portal, with Osogbo Local Government recording the highest results.

There are about 3,763 polling units across the 30 local government areas of Osun State, with Osogbo having the highest number at 282, followed by Ife Central with 215 and Ife East with 200.

At the time of this report, Osogbo has recorded result uploads from 70, Ife East from 49, and Ife Central from 58.

In the results uploaded as 3.40 p.m by the rulling APC on its platform, there is a very close gap between the candidate of the party Oyebamiji and Governor Adeleke of Accord Part.
