Oyebanji Re-elected as Ekiti State Governor

The Ekiti State Resident Electoral Commissioner (REC), Dr Bunmi Omoseyindemi, has officially declared Governor Biodun Oyebanji of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as the winner of the 2026 Ekiti State governorship election.
Oyebanji was re-elected by his people in the election conducted across the state on Saturday.
Results released by INEC
According to the final results announced by Omoseyindemi, the APC secured 319,224 votes, defeating its closest rival, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), which polled 40,543 votes. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) came third with 12,872 votes.
The declaration has confirmed Oyebanj’s return to his office for another four years term following the historic victory.
