Tinubu Praises Saleh on $3.1bn Continental Customs Accord

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has congratulated Saleh Ahmadu, Chairman of Bergmans Security Consultants and Supplies Limited, for securing a landmark 20-year AfCFTA concession to implement the Customs Modernisation Project.

The concession, signed by AfCFTA Secretary-General Wamkele Mene and Alhaji Saleh Ahmadu, the $3.1 billion public-private partnership (PPP) agreement will be implemented via Bergmans’ subsidiary, AfriTrade CMP Limited.

The project will deploy unified digital platforms, electronic cargo-tracking, and integrated data systems across participating African countries to streamline customs and drive intra-African trade.

President Tinubu commended Alhaji Ahmadu, who is the Madakin Lokoja and Bergmans for demonstrating that Nigerian companies can develop and deliver solutions of continental significance. NigerianNews Portal

He said the agreement represents a major milestone for Nigeria and a strong endorsement of indigenous expertise, particularly as Africa advances efforts to establish a more integrated and efficient single market.
